About Us:

The Shorecrest Hip Hop Dance Team's purpose is to foster expression and inspiration by utilizing dance as their medium. Building camaraderie and community through teamwork, responsibility and dance.

Awards Include:

District Titles wins from 2004-2019 and 2021
State Championship Titles in 2006, 2009, 2010 (2 titles), 2013, 2015-2018, and 2021
National Titles in 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2019
Academic Excellence Award in 2006 and 2007
Former Coach Rex Kinney (2002-2021) was awarded “Coach of the Year” by the WSDDCA in 2011 and inducted into the WSDDCA Hall of Fame in 2017.

Beyond Competition

Reaching out to our community, we offer kids hip-hop clubs, camps, and workshops throughout the school year to local schools, community centers, and summer camp programs. The team also performs for various community events. This is MORE than just a dance activity. We give our members hands-on training that builds their experience, life and social skills.

Tickets

For home athletic contests that charge admission, tickets can be purchased online to skip the line and enjoy contactless payment and entry. Both cash and card sales are available at event entry as well.

Sports that charge admission are:

Fall: Football, Girls Soccer, Volleyball
Winter: Basketball, Wrestling
Spring: Boys Soccer

Ticket Prices

Adults, Students without ASB, and children without adult: $7.00
Visiting Students with ASB: $5.00
Seniors & Children with adult: $5.00
10-Game Pass: $60.00

Student-Athlete Policies

Tardies

Applies to athletes and performance groups:

During the season in which a student-athlete is participating, all tardies will be counted. For every 10 tardies accumulated, a student-athlete will have their participation restricted in the subsequent competition/performance.

There's no longer a system to reduce the tardy count, as in past years.

Athletes (and their coaches) will be notified by the attendance secretary on Mondays if their tardy count has reached 5 or more. Tardy counts are reset to zero at the start of the postseason, and at the start of every athletic season.

Attendance

Grade Checks

During each athletic season there will be two grade checks, as required by WIAA rules.

If a student-athlete is failing one or more classes on the day of the grade check then the AD will notify the coach, who will then inform the athlete.

The athlete will have one week to bring all classes up to passing (60%). During that week there aren't any limitations on participation.

After that week or probation, if an athlete is still failing a class then they are not eligible to participate in games/competitions until all grades are passing. They may continue to practice during this time.

Sports Fees

ASB - $50 - pay this once for the school year

Sports Fee - $200 per season
