8/28/24 Homework - Read Tennis Etiquette Document. Quiz on 8/29/24.

Practice Schedule - There are no longer practices on any Saturday or Labor Day since only 7 practices are now required to qualify for matches.

8/26/24-8/27/24: Newbies 3:00p-4:30p (Kellogg MS) Returners 4:15p-6:00p (Kellogg MS)  (The first two days are tryouts for varsity and count as practices. All athletes who don't make varsity will play on the JV team. This is a no cut sport, but players should be able to get a serve in on a regular basis prior to tryouts. Seniors can play on JV.)

8/28/24-until the End of Season: Varsity 3:00p-5:00p (Kellogg MS)  JV 3:00p-5:00p (Shoreline Park-There is no school transportation provided.)

BEFORE THE ATHLETE MAY BEGIN PRACTICE/TRYOUTS:

* All paperwork through Final Forms must be completed.  

* We must have an updated physical on file. Physicals last for two years. You may scan and email the form to Mr. Bruns (alan.bruns@ssd412.org) or ask your doctor to fax it to school at 206-393-4284. You may also upload it directly to Final Forms. 

THINGS TO BRING EVERYDAY: 

Tennis shoes, adult racket (27” long), water bottle, sunscreen, and layered clothing with pockets. 

BEFORE THE ATHLETE MAY PARTICIPATE IN ANY COMPETITION:

  • The athlete must be enrolled full-time.
  • Failing grades from prior grading periods may carry over and affect eligibility for competition.
  • The athlete must complete 7 practices.
  • ASB Membership must be paid-$50 - online payment link from the school homepage or @ ASB window when school is open          
  • The District Athletic Participation fee must be paid - $200 - for each season an athlete participates, make payment online, 
  • Uniform / equipment from any prior sports season turned in (or fine paid).
